Challenge
NICE's objective was to determine and integrate a load management solution for its database systems, based on system availability of 7x24x365 and the following IT environment:

MORE's challenge was to improve the system's quality of service, enhance the end-user experience for important business processes, and provide a system that was reliable, stable, and easy to maintain. NICE's systems were tested to determine MORE's ability to reduce loads during peak periods and avoid a system collapse that would adversely affect the entire organization.
Solution
Following an intensive testing period, NICE chose MORE's VRP software because of its unique ability to solve load problems. During the installation process, specific system rules were defined, following a comprehensive study of NICE's IT environment. This enabled MORE to accurately define system rules based on the needs of the organization.
Results
MORE improved I/O utilization and run time by 70% and reduced load time by 50%!
Following implementation of MORE's VRP, the outcome was clear - a significant decrease in TCO resulted in a rapid decrease in OPEX and CAPEX. With the system successfully up and running, NICE reported enhanced productivity, and considerable cost-savings in energy and related resources.
System configuration at NICE is an Oracle RAC Cluster on 3 servers with 48 cores. Integrating MORE's VRP significantly improved NICE's overall database performance and enabled NICE's DBAs to control the load and its effects on the system. MORE's VRP managed heavy loads in real-time, including accelerating reports from a remote location, maintaining QoS and enhancing the online user experience, and eliminating the need to kill heavy transactions by simply reducing their priority and allow them terminate.
