More IT Resources, a subsidiary of Veracity, has implemented the MoreVRP solution at Visa Cal as part of the Sigma project, which included converting the company's data warehouse system in order to increase system performance and redundancy. MoreVRP streamlines processes by managing the IT resources on a database environment, while maintaining QoS and the system's stability under load. The cost of the project, which lasted several days, is estimated at several hundred thousand US dollars.
Uzi Dvir, DBA Group Manager and Project Manager at Visa Cal, said: "MoreVRP allows us to manage processes, including control over the CPU, I/O and memory, on a database. The solution has the ability to route processes and allocate resources based on their priority, so that the more important processes get a faster response, and less important, resource-consuming processes, do not create bottlenecks. I'm not aware of such capabilities in other tools."
